Chipotle & E coli

As many of you know, Chipotle has had quite the issues with their "fresh ingredients" over the past couple months. For this assignment you will take on the role of two different, yet important participants in the rise or fall of Chipotle.

Step 1 - Build Background Knowledge

1. What is E. Coli, and how have Chipotle Customers contracted the bacterial infection?
2. What has Chipotle done to mitigate the issues?
3. What was the stock price for CMG on 10/10/15, and what is the Stock Price Currently.
4. In the recent weeks, what has Chipotle done or planned to do to combat the ongoing issue?

Step 2 - Chipotle PR Response

5. You will take on the role of head of PR for Chipotle. Please write a press release to customers trying to calm the issue. State the problem, what has been done, and why Chipotle Customers shouldn't worry. Any ideas that you can communicate as far as positives, promotions, etc, will only help you get your point across.

This PR will be placed on all Chipotle storefronts, websites, and released to the news media.
