Barriers to Intercultural Communication (CH 1)

Objective: Although your book mentions 7 barriers to intercultural communication, many might argue there are way more than just 7. I would like to hear from you about 3 of these barriers on a more in depth level.

Instructions:

Part A) First list and briefly describe all 7 barriers to intercultural communication.

Part B) Take three of the barriers and explain in depth what they mean, why are they an issue, and what would a modern day example look like? How would you overcome a "real life" example of running into this barrier?

Part C) Explain ways to minimize or curtail the intercultural barriers. (Commonsense Guidelines)
