BCOM Blogger Project

Objective:

Create a blog that will be used throughout the semester as both a resource and a place to publish work, and collaborate with fellow students. This will be a great resource for the rest of your life, and will be a good place to start to think about jobs and careers. Your resumes, certificates, and work will go on this blog, so make sure you keep professional and appropriate content! Keep your nonsense and humor to your other blogs!

Instructions:

1. Make sure you are signed into your @aurorak12.org email address
2. Go to blogger.com

-Make sure your “Display Name” is your full name

3. Click “Create New”

                -Choose your Blog Title

-Your blog address should be your last name, then bus217

(Example: garciabus217.blogspot.com)

-Choose Template

4.Click This Button:

This is where you can change things such as template, information, layout, etc.

5.Click Layout, and add 3 gadgets.

                -The gadgets you choose must be relevant and appropriate. If you have any questions, ask me.

6. Click the “edit” of About Me section.

                -Fill this out with a detailed description

7. Spend some time adding to your blog to make it “yours” add any pictures, gadgets, or details you would like, as long as they are fitting for the course and subject of the blog.

8. After you are done editing the layout and such, you must add mine, and your fellow classmates blog to your “reading list”

-Under Reading list section, click add, then write or paste each classmates blog address into your

reading list. This is how you will get credit for commenting and collaborating.

9. Double check your blog address, then send it to me in an email.

(Example: http://vpbcom.blogspot.com/  )  <----- Add my blog to your reading list

10. After you have completed all of the steps above you are ready to start blogging! Find me  for your first blog assignment.
